Re-Roofing

A very popular service provided by the Doctor, is the removal of old and heavy roof tiles or old corrugated iron sheeting and gutters, these are then replaced with light weight BHP Bluescope Customorb Zincalume or Colorbond steel sheeting.

Heavy roof tiles can stress the walls of homes, with their excess weight. Many older homes have large flat tile verandahs or rear sleep outs. These flat tiled areas are often enclosed as rooms and have severe leakage problems. Customorb can be laid in long lengths, at a low pitch, to prevent leaking.

Within a period of a few days, your old roof can be completly removed and taken off the site and disposed of. Modern steel sheets of Customorb Zincalume or Colorbond fixed with tex screws, to form a brand new light weight roof.

The re-roofing process includes replace the existing tile battens with new steel purlins, which help in taking out waves and dips in the existing tile roof. Gutters and downpipes can be replaced at the same time.

Your new roof carries the Manufacturer’s independent Warranty of up to 25 years, PLUS a 15 year NO Leak Guarantee from The Roof & Wall Doctor.

Once the old tiles or iron have been removed, many home owners take the opportunity to have insulation, skylights, or roof ventilation installed at the same time, to allow year round control of the climate.

Building Blanket Insulation can be fitted on top of the new steel purlins and under the new sheeting, to provide considerable cooling during the hot summer months.

The Roof & Wall Doctor is Licenced with Work Safe to legally and safely remove dangerous old Asbestos roofs.

Your new roof can be expected to last well into this Century, providing clean drinking water, the refreshing sound of rain on the roof and good-bye for ever, to problems associated with excess weight and cracked ridges.
